April 15 2025
AUBURN, Ala. - On April 14, 2025, Auburn Police, with assistance from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Nizerria Antrenece Truitt, from Harvest, Alabama, on felony warrants charging her with identity theft and theft of property first degree.
The arrest stems from the Auburn Police Department receiving a report involving a forged check on Jan. 16, 2025. A complainant reported that a business check was mailed to the intended recipient from a location in Auburn in Dec. 2024. While in transit, the check was stolen and altered. An unknown suspect used the forged check to conduct a transaction at a location outside of Auburn.
After further investigation, Nizerria Antrenece Truitt was developed as a suspect and arrest warrants for identity theft and theft of property first degree were obtained. Truitt was located by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office on April 10 and was arrested in obedience to the warrants.
Truitt was transported to the Auburn Police Department on April 14, and the arrest warrants were executed. Truitt was then transported to the Lee County Jail and held on a $10,000 bond.

All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
